Since 15 February 2021, travellers to the UK have faced significantly stricter travel restrictions as the UK works to reduce the spread of new variants of Covid-19 from high-risk areas (so-called Red List countries). Before booking your trip, you should read all the information on this page and consider the steps to take before, during and after a COVID-19-related trip abroad. Outbound travelers should check the restrictions in their destination country. Many airlines also have their own guidelines for testing before allowing a person to board, so always check with the airline.
